Surf Active is an outdoor surfing specific fitness program for recreational surfers.
Improving your physical fitness for surfing will result in being able to catch more waves, surf for longer, maintain technique and reduce the likelihood of injury. Our sessions are delivered in a high intensity format, considering each participants level of ability, goals for surifng and limitations.
The physical needs for surfing can be complex! (the techincal aspects are another story)
Being able to cope with long slow paddling to get out the back, and surf for longer requires shoulder endurance! A quick power paddle to avoid others, beat the bomb set, or increase your wave count requires shoulder strength and power. Having the speed power in your mid-section and lower body improves your pop up speed, and contributes to maintaining technique under fatigue.
We design and deliver sessions to address all these requirements!
